While presenting at the Florida Reading Association, I was fortunate to meet with you and discuss the Gourmet Curriculum. You were gracious enough to allow me to have the first and third grade curricula for the Saint Leo Instructional Media Center. These materials have been used to demonstrate methodology prior to being shelved.
One student, assigned to work with a fourth grade class, stated that this class ALWAYS failed every Social Studies test, no matter what the teacher did. Both my student and the teacher questioned the ability of the fourth graders. I modeled how to find fact/details from your curriculum. My student tried one lesson with the fourth graders. The teacher in the room promised he would follow up with this method. For the first time in one year, all the fourth graders passed their test. It works!
My class is delighted with the materials (as am I). They have taken all the information pertaining to costs and are looking forward to having salaried positions which will enable them to begin ordering.
